O Alt está morto… No dia dos Mortos

(The Alt is dead ... On the Day of the Dead)

We all saw the great Day of the Dead parades in Mexico City in the impressive and intense opening of the 007-Specter. But the Day of the Dead in Mexico is more than wide avenues filled with masked people in huge floats. And to live seriously this party, because it is really a party, you have to spend a few days in Oaxaca.
Here, tradition is fulfilled to rule and the festivities turn out to be a mixture of tradition, worship, feast, magic and history. The Day of the Dead in Oaxaca is so important that these days are here to honor, to remember and to miss the loved ones that are no longer among us. It's a whole week of festivities, dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Dead. From October 30 until dawn on November 3, this city and it`s surroundings live intensely this time when each day is dedicated to those who have already left.

Sónia Santos has always photographed. The appeal for capturing the image was there whenever he got a camera, but the perception of Photography itself came in 1997 during a trip to China. He considers it was in the Forbidden City that he made his first photograph. In 1999 he joined Foto@pt, an emerging website that has formed many photographers of the present time. Since then he has been experimenting with various techniques, various perspectives, but his passion is Black & White on film. The site NIRVANABLUE is a show of works that represent the path of an amateur who understands photography as the capture of the moment for eternity or the stylization of a moment in their eyes. Sónia Santos "not only sees what is there but introduces us to the sensation of what he came across - and is determined to do. He has conviction in what he wants to do without "fears." This is your brand image.
